Corporate Director of Engineering | Encore Hospitality

Mr. Damon Kearney began his career with Encore Hospitality in 2006 as a Project Manager. His primary responsibilities included the day to day operations of a hotel and to increase Guest Satisfaction scores. Upon succeeding Damon was assigned to an additional hotel with the same task assignment. Damon has been involved in the hotel industry for over 32 years beginning his career at Hilton Inn in Bossier City, Louisiana in 1982 in Front Office operations. Having requested to learn the entire operations of every department, he proved his abilities to succeed and provide excellent guest satisfaction. In August of 1984, Damon was promoted to General Manager of the same full service Hilton Hotel.Throughout his career Damon continued to expand his knowledge by requesting to oversee hotel renovations and new build construction which included contract negotiations and capital expenditure planning for several hotel companies and hotel management companies, while continuing to be a General Manager/Project Manager. Over the years, Damon has worked with Marriott, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Best Western, LaQuinta and casino hotels.

In March of 2007, Damon was promoted to Regional Director of Engineering for Pineapple Management Services. His responsibilities include all engineering aspects of 16 hotels, mostly in the Southern region of the United States. Acting as a technical resource for the hotels regarding correct Preventative Routine and Repair Maintenance procedures and techniques. Damon performs technical troubleshooting and repair of major building systems as needed. He also provides training and direction on correct use of PM systems. Damon shares information and best practices with Engineers. He also performs engineering asset inspections as assigned and assists with special projects as needed.

In September 2007, Damon was promoted to Corporate Director of Engineering for Pineapple Management Services. His responsibilities include all engineering aspects of 40 hotels at various locations throughout the United States. Damon was also tasked with all renovations and new builds of hotels, Quality Assurance inspections, and Life/Safety inspections and continued to share his operational expertise with of all hotel departments.
