ATLANTA — Doubletree Suites by Hilton Hotel Atlanta has been selected for the 2020 Best of Atlanta Award in the Hotels category by the Atlanta Award Program.

Each year, the Atlanta Award Program identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and their community. These exceptional companies help make the Atlanta area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2020 Atlanta Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Atlanta Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Opening Date of Bedford Trader Joe’s Revealed

BEDFORD — The highly anticipated opening of Trader Joe’s at the new Market and Main complex will take place next week.

“On Friday, March 29 at 9 a.m., the Trader Joe’s Bedford store will officially open for business, welcoming residents to their new neighborhood grocery store,” the company said in a release issued on Wednesday.

Four-Story Parking Garage for Bedford Plaza OK’d, New Cinema Finalizing Plans

BEDFORD — The architectural design for a four-story parking garage at the Market and Main project has been approved by town planners, and an undisclosed cinema chain is in the process of being finalized for the development.

“We do have a cinema with a letter of intent right now, so we are working on that portion of the project,” Laura Homich, project architect, told the Bedford Planning Board this week. On Monday, the board approved the architectural design for a four-story, open parking garage that will be attached to the rear of the cinema building.
