Director of Operations | Encore Restaurants
As Director of Operations, Matt Reid oversees all aspects of Encore’s Five Guys Burger and Fries division. His duties include: sales growth, guest satisfaction, unit profitability, execution of brand standards, management training and development, and all new store development. Matt has been working with the Five Guys brand for over 6 years; just under 3 years with Encore Restaurants. Prior to Five Guys, Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University Long Beach. Once graduated, Matt entered a Manager in Training (MIT) program with Five Guys. Two months into the MIT program, Matt was promoted to General Manager of our most profitable location, Five Guys Fresno, for that locations first 4 years. In early 2014, Matt took the position of Area Manager, which developed into Director of Operations as the Five Guys concept has grown. Since promotion to Director of Operations, our Five Guys’ concept has increased its Net Operating Profit from 4% to just over 13% annually.
